Left 4 Dead is a zombie apocalypse simulator, created by Valve's workforce of computer literate turtles. The game is presided over by the Director, who is a mean bastard.
Storyline
The storyline of L4D begins 2 weeks after the first case of the Rage Virus T Virus Swine Flu virus hits the US of A. Four survivors are attempting to escape the infected city to a safe zone somewhere in the North. The Four campagins follow their journey northwards to the fabled Outpost Echo, supposedly the last military evacuation point, but which turns out to be a crappy farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.
The upcoming DLC is expected to continue the story, and will apparently "Delve into the tortured childhood of the Director".
