JXM

JXM was a brief time in the history of The Java Server where the servers were brought together and funded/ admined by Minus.

It didn't end so well due to many economic, social and political reasons.

History

Once upon a time there was The Java Server, A place of magic and HLSS spam where the regular denizens would gather to play games of Team Fortress 2. This was a happy time, before the achievement whoring regular scum were admitted. A time where there were lengthy spy chain backstabs and the melodic sounds of Lukasa stalked the VOIP. The community blossomed spawning separate servers such as the Mserver where Mooglepies and Badpixel would stalk the waters as the Hidden. The Pressures of exams and complaints got to Javaguy though forcing him to shut down The Java Server. Eventually, out of nowhere the Character known as Minus appeared gathering support by creating a central website and providing 10 servers for the 50 odd regular players to replace the j-server, fun times were had as people found themselves on the multitude of new servers opened up. Alas, it was not to be as eventually Minus began to feel the toll of his decision trying to fund all 10 servers and webhosting by himself as donations slowly dwindled. Minus descended into heresy and madness as the responsibility that Javaguy had carried weighed down on him.

The Schism

Finally a request by a non-contributor too many began to form what was known as the schism. Minus hefting his Mighty Banhammer of +5 Unjustness began to swing among the members of JXM the once loyal members began to flee before his wrath as many were smote down by the Hammer banished for up to 2 days from Team Fortress 2, to this day we grieve their loss. Eventually after what seemed like 5 minutes or something Minus fled to pastures new never to be seen again.

To summarize

Great idea but died like communism.... on toast.
